Static and Dynamic Failure Mode Analysis of the Compression Springs in an Injection Molder
Project Specifications: This project required identification of the device failure mode mechanism and numerical evaluation of the factors of safety for component machine elements. The device element chosen was the main compression springs present. Since the problem was ill defined, it required reverse engineering the device i.e taking it apart to find out specifications and design it on Solidworks.
